PURPOSE: To measure the small voltages or small currents due to electric charges.
DESCRIPTION: An electrometer with a high input impedance and an external output meter that can projected to the class with the overhead. It is sensitive.
EQUIPMENT: The Electrometer and external projection meter are stored in the electricity and magnetism cabinets.
SETUP TIME: None.
DEMO NOTES: If the meter is left on it will drain the battery power
quickly. Always turn off the power promptly after use. The electrometer uses
six 9 volt batteries for power. Always check the battery power before use.
