PURPOSE: To show the hall efect
DESCRIPTION: A hall probe is used to probe a magnet or a solenoid.
EQUIPMENT: The hall probe must be borrwed from the 2nd floor labs. The output of the hall probe meter is connected to the overhead display meter.
SETUP NOTES: This demo could be much improved if it were made with P-type and
n-type germanium samples on projection plates according to the description in http://www.physics.umd.edu/deptinfo/facilities/lecdem/k1-51.htm
