PURPOSE: To show density and bouyancy.
DESCRIPTION: Various objects are placed in an aquarium tank full of water. An aluminum block floats. It is hollow. A block of wood sinks. It is ironwood. A ball is neatrally bouyant. It remains at any depth.
Coke and Diet Coke are put to the density test. The diet coke floats and the coke sinks.
EQUIPMENT: Density objects are stored in fluid mechanics. The aquarium is stored in the astronomy cabinet. Note: The coke and diet coke cans must be inserted sideways into the water to prevent bubble traps in the bottom of the cans.
