PURPOSE: To show uniform motion with no external forces and constant velocity.
DESCRIPTION: Push the glider.
EQUIPMENT: Air Track, blower and glider.
SETUP NOTES: Be sure to clean with contact cleaner while blower is on to prevent galding between the glider and the track. Carefully balance and level the track at the precise classroom location the night before and recheck in the early AM before class. The air track is stored above the door to room 168. The blower is stored atop the general use cabinet. The gliders are stored in the mechanics cabinet.
