DESCRIPTION: A "Picket Fence" is a piece of clear plastic striped with black bars. The Picket Fence is dropped between a photogate. The photogate is connected to a computer and produces a graph of velocity v. time and the slope of the graph is g.
EQUIPMENT: Pasco photogate, Computer Science Workshop, Picket Fence, and the Computer Projector.
SETUP NOTES: The settings for the datalogger and the axis of the graphs must be determined the day before class. It takes extra time to set this up during a class change because the computer must be booted.
