PURPOSE: To show static torque.
DESCRIPTION: A model ladder is leaned at some chosen angle against an upright
board on the lecture table. A mass is sequentially
moved up each rung until the bottom of the ladder slips out.
EQUIPMENT: Ladder stored in with the meter sticks. Board is stored
in mechanics. Mass hanger and masses are in the mass
drawer. Use the asbestos board for the foot of the ladder to rest upon.
SETUP NOTES: Use the rods and the rod clamps to set up the wall.
