PURPOSE: To show that a mass and spring system oscillates with SHM and to show how the period of oscillation is related to the mass.
DESCRIPTION: A mass hangs from a spring. When displaced from equilibrium it experiences a restoring force and oscillates with SHM about the equilibrium point. Add more mass and observe that there is a change in the frequency.
