PURPOSE: To demonstrate SHM.
DESCRIPTION: A weighted stick floats in a tall beaker of water, as shown
in the photo. When displaced from its
equilibrium position and released, it executes damped SHM. Due to the viscosity of
the water there is considerable
damping.
