3b50.30  Ripple Tank Laser disc

PURPOSE: To show the wave properties of interfernce and diffraction with water waves.

DESCRIPTION: A laser disc has movie images of various ripple tank phenomena such as single slit diffraction, two slit interference, diffraction around an obstacle, edge diffraction and Huygen's principle.  the advantage of using the laser disc with the ripple tank is that one can single step the motion frame by frame.
